Sharon Church Celebrates Homecoming

By Denise Williams, Diciembre 19, 2013

Following the Lord's command to "go out into the highways and hedges, and compel [them] to come in, that my house may be filled" (Luke 14:23, KJV), Sharon Church celebrated its second annual Homecoming Celebration on Oct. 26–27.

The church was celebrating 67 years of serving God and its community. Many former members who have moved away came back to share in God's promises with dynamic singing, life-changing prayer and the powerful Word of God.

This year's event, themed "Connecting People to the Promise," included a complete weekend of prayer, power and praise with Terry Johnson, who grew up in Sharon Church and was the featured speaker.

Bringing the Sabbath to an end was done in high fashion with activities such as Twilight Tea, Rejuvenation Spa, bowling and a game night. As a final close to the celebration, the church family got together on Sunday morning for a brunch and fellowship, with Johnson sharing a final thought from the Word of God.

The Spirit of the Lord was present the entire weekend — all were blessed by His presence.
