Several mothers and their children from the Eugene Church presented a cooking school over three evenings this spring. About 20 to 30 people atttended. The cooking demonstrations included breakfast items, like a tofu scrambler and French toast, and desserts, like peanut butter pie and raspberry almond torte cookies, said Kassandra Meelhuysen,16. The picture shows Raylene Young with sons Weston, 13, and Mitchell, 11, making smoothies. The boys said, "Smoothies are easy and taste good." Another girl, 5-year-old Arianna, along with her grandmother, showed how easy it is to make gluten from scratch.
