Robert Junior Brothers

BROTHERS —Robert Junior, 95; born April 23, 1925, Halford, Kansas; died Feb. 2, 2021, Vancouver, Washington. Surviving: son, Greg; daughter, Jana and three grandchildren.

Born in Halford, Kansas, Robert was the eldest of three children born to Robert and Selma

Brothers. When his family moved to Oakley, Kansas, Robert got his first job: selling popcorn
at the local movie theater.

Having served with the 77 th Infantry Division during World War II, Robert returned to
Oakley and opened an ice cream shop! This led to him meeting Marjorie Mae (née Burch);
the two married on August 2, 1950 – and soon after, they moved to Oregon, where Robert
worked for Safeway.

Robert enjoyed travel, camping, and time with his family. He is survived by his children:
Greg and Jana – and by three grandchildren: Bridgette, Cecilia, and Rebecca.
